1. Set tasks in periods
In Scrum, time periods are managed by sprints, which are time sections that last approximately one month and where the development of a product to be delivered to the client takes place. Thus, according to the Scrum methodology, you must divide your work into different time periods.
2. Prioritize tasks
In Scrum, the Product Backlog is the process by which priority tasks are established and where brief and detailed information is obtained about the project to be developed. There you should focus on those tasks that are most important. You can use different criteria, but it will normally depend on the type of task. Once you determine which are the most important tasks, you start organizing them and assigning them according to the order of priority.
3. Prioritize time
It is vitally important that you learn to manage your time very well, calculate how much time one or several tasks will take, establish a schedule, take advantage of breaks and allocate the amount of time necessary to each thing. 4. Monitor progress
You may find that the process is not progressing as it should. Some tasks took longer than expected and it seems that the estimated time will not be met. To do this, you must be clear about the performance indicators that you must manage for the tasks. Establish how to increase productivity in the tasks, and identify the friction points that do not allow you to achieve greater speed.
5. Retrospective
Once the sprint is over, it's a good idea to reflect on the things that made the process more difficult, and evaluate how to process them so that the task will be easier in future projects. Try to put the most difficult tasks first, so you can move forward faster. If you're faced with a task that doesn't work, try these possible solutions:
✅ Divide the task into different parts and consider simplifying it.
✅ Evaluate the task and consider what the delay factors are.
✅ Dedicate a whole day to completing the task and then concentrate on other tasks.
✅ Examine time management in terms of the task.
